As we look ahead to another action-packed year, we can’t help but reflect on the unforgettable New Year’s Bash in Enid, Oklahoma, last year. With so many thrilling moments and standout performances, it’s easy to see why Enid has become one of our favorite stops on the Mad Dog Demo Derby tour.
2023 New Year’s Bash Recap:
On December 30th, the crowd in Enid was treated to an intense night of demolition derby, with drivers leaving it all on the track. Here’s a quick rundown of the winners and moments that stood out:
Semi-Stock Class: Heston Kavanagh drove his way to a 1st place finish while also taking home the coveted Maddog award. Mike Schierlman and Ethan Schierlman rounded out the top three, making this class a fierce competition.
Full-Size Stock Class: Wes Black took 1st, with Logan Black earning the Maddog title for his hard-hitting performance and Corey Weintraub coming in 3rd.
Compacts Class: Denton Shook emerged victorious, with Matt Druze in 2nd and Brent Parmer taking 3rd and the Maddog award for his relentless driving. The compact class was full of fast-paced action that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
Each class delivered excitement and showed why the Enid event has quickly become a must-attend for derby fans and drivers alike. The atmosphere was electric, and the crowd left with memories of a night full of hard hits, close calls, and unexpected moments.
Looking Forward to 2024:
As we gear up for the upcoming Enid event on April 12, 2024, we couldn’t be more excited to return to this high-energy town. Last year’s New Year’s Bash was incredible, and we’re bringing the heat again this spring with even more action, adrenaline, and competition!

Bigger and Better: With each event, we continue to raise the stakes, and this year will be no exception. Expect tougher competition, more hard hitting action, and another round of intense action as some of the best derby drivers in the country hit the track.
New Faces, Familiar Favorites: Will we see another strong performance from last year’s winners? Or will some new faces rise to the occasion and challenge the veterans? One thing’s for sure, April 12th is going to be a showdown you won’t want to miss.
Maddog Awards: The Maddog award has always been a fan favorite, recognizing the drivers who push the hardest, hit the toughest, and put on a show like no other. We’re looking forward to seeing who will claim the Maddog titles in 2024.
